Sonos Beam (Gen 2)
In the soundbar field this took for smaller rooms. It is not the crowned answer (Samsung HW-Q990H is), but here is exactly where it earns its place, and where it gives ground.

PlacedBeaten by Samsung HW-Q990H
Why it might win
Excellent for its size, brilliant with music, dead simple app
Why it might not
No dedicated height channels; Atmos is virtualised, not physical
The compact, music-first choice
One compact bar handles TV and doubles as the best-sounding speaker in the room for music, at ₹58,001 under the Samsung. The Sonos app is also simply easier to live with day to day.
Atmos here is a simulation
Without physical height or rear speakers, Dolby Atmos on the Beam is virtualised rather than genuinely coming from above and behind you. It sounds good for one bar; it isn’t the real 11.1.4 spread the Q990H delivers.
